Neil was born Visually Impaired with Nystagmus which causes involuntary eye movements and he is classified as a B3.

He started skiing at the age of 4 at Aberdeen dry slope and joined Gordon Skiers for snow training at The Lecht and Glenshee in Scotland.

Following his classification in 2018, Neil was soon regularly winning Europa Cup and World Cup medals. He was selected, with his brother Andrew, as his guide, to the GB team for the 2021 World Championships where they won silver in the Alpine Combined. The pair went one better at the 2022 Winter Paralympics winning Gold in the Super-G and Bronze in the Combined.

With Andrew injured, Neil teamed up with Rob Poth for the 2023 World Championships and the pair won 3 medals including another Gold in the Super-G.

Britain’s medal tally at the World Para Snow Sports Championships in Lillehammer rose to six on the sixth day of competition, with a gold and two silvers in the Alpine Super Combined races.
