Jasper spent the early part of his life in Wanaka, New Zealand close to the Cardrona ski field. In 2015 he moved to the UK and caught the attention of spectators when making his debut at the Brits in Tignes where as a 13-year-old, where he landed a run solid enough to secure a silver medal behind his elder brother, Felix in the Under 16s Half Pipe. More recently he dominated the Under 16 Brits competition himself, winning the indoor champs at Chill Factore before transferring that form outdoors, with gold in the slopestyle and half pipe and a silver in the Big Air in Laax. In 2018 his hard work was acknowledged with a Riblat Endeavour Award and he lined up in the Junior World Championships at Cardrona.
