Beinn is part of the Ski Nordic Chartreuse Club, in the Chartreuse National Park in France, and is studying at Lycée André Argouge which has a nordic skiing section.

He started nordic skiing at the age of 9 when some athletes from the local club (including GB Cross Country Elite Squad's James Clugnet) came to the annual fair in his village and setup a lazer biathlon course in the grass - after that he was hyped about biathlon, joined the local club and fell in love with cross country skiing. Beinn's parents were both sport-oholics, pushing their bodies to the point of permanent injuries and got seriously close to death on multiple occasions! They still love the challenge, the fun and the adrenalin of many sports, which is why they moved to the French alps and why they're so supportive of Beinn. They got him into the whole "sport mania" at a very young age.

Andrew Musgrave (GB Cross Country Elite Squad) and James Clugnet have inspired Beinn: to see a British athlete being a serious potential Olympic medal winner is very encouraging - it seemed like an impossible level to achieve, but Musgrave has shown him a glimmer of hope. James Clugnet has also encouraged Beinn - having both trained at the same club, James is now part of Team GB and aiming for the Olympics!!

For the 2018/19 season, Beinn's main goal is the European Youth Olympic Festival, so all his training is centered around this event. His big goal in cross country skiing is to become a professional and a serious competitor at the Olympics. His dream would be to get a medal, but he’ll take it step by step and hopefully work his way up to achieving his dream!
