ZOE ATKIN WINS FIRST WORLD CUP HALFPIPE IN COPPER MOUNTAIN

Great British Snowsport freestyle athlete, Zoe Atkin, won her first World Cup event in Copper Mountain this weekend. 

Atkin, 16 years old, took the title in Colarado after scoring over 80 points on her three runs with a superb high score of 87.75 coming on her opening run.

In difficult conditions, on only her third World Cup start, Atkin became the second British winner of a World Cup halfpipe event, with Rowan Cheshire winning in Calagry in 2014. 

Zoe - the sister of Izzy Atkin, GB Snowsports first Olympic Ski medalist - made her first World Cup appearence last season and has been competing on the Rev Tour which is a development pathway tour in the USA for athletes between the ages of 14 and 19.
