GB Telemark celebrate at pre-season fundraising dinner

If the GB Telemark community were disappointed with the recent IOC decision not to include their sport in the Beijing 2022 programme, they certainly weren't showing it at a black tie fundraising dinner held in central London last month.

Held at the Cavalry and Guards Club in Mayfair, the event was not only an opportunity to celebrate everything the sport has achieved to date, but also a way to thank those who have helped administratively and financially along the way.

The event was hosted by GB Telemark team member Robbie Houstoun while FIS Telemark chairman and former GB Telemark team captain Andrew Clarke made a speech and also spoke on behalf of GB Telemark Chairman Adrian Pery who was unable to attend.

A raffle and silent auction helped the dinner raise more than £6000 for GB Telemark ahead of what is an exciting season which will be highlighted by the World Championships in Norway this March.

GB Telemark wishes to thank all who attended as well as the sponsors and supporters who made the event such as a success, including Dare 2b, Point 6, VOLA, Reusch, Tux Diamant, Ski Bartlett, Christopher Lees, Moose, George’s Surf School, British Ski & Snowboard, Montrachet Fine Wines, Sonia and Norman Chessman from The Place, Young People’s Company and Kate Emsley.
