The GB Ski+Snowboard Cross programme has enjoyed unprecedented success over the past twelve months and with an exciting summer training regime already underway, hopes are high for even more great results in 2019/20.

Last season produced a Junior World Champion, a World Championship medallist as well as a World Cup podium and multiple Europa Cup victories, with more gains expected over the coming season.

Five athletes will feature in the 2019/20 World Cup squads, with more than a dozen more earning places in the Europa Cup squads.

This time last year, Charlotte Bankes still did not have her GB racing license but since then she has changed countries, won three Europa Cups, stood on the World Cup podium and scored Britain’s first ever medal in the discipline at the World Championships to be ranked No.4 in the world.

She is joined by Maisie Potter who made solid gains last year after nearly a year-long injury break which cruelled her 2018 Winter Olympic campaign.

In ski cross, 2018 Junior World Champion Ollie Davies will draw on the experience gained from his first full season on the World Cup circuit. The 22-year-old scored GB’s best-ever men’s ski cross World Cup result when he was 16th in Canada in January and will be hoping to regularly qualify through to the top 32 knockout stages this season.

Emily Sarsfield and Emma Peters complete the ski cross World Cup squad. PyeongChang Olympian Sarsfield will be back for her 15th World Cup season while Peters will be hoping for a healthy campaign after a heavy crash at the Junior World Championships kept her to just one World Cup appearance in 2018/19.

Eight skiers and five snowboarders have been included in the GB Ski+Snowboard Cross Europa Cup squads.
