Children's Team score strong results

The British Children’s Ski Team have been in action over the last couple of weeks with athletes racing in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Andorra.

In the Czech Republic, Alex Ogden and Sophie Stocker achieved fourth and sixth place in the U14 slalom with Tom Rampton earning sixth in the U16s.

In Andorra, particularly bad storms meant the super G and super combined races were cancelled but the organisers worked hard to put on a slalom and giant slalom. In the U14 slalom, Luca Carrick-Smith stood on top of the podium with George Black in 3rd (pictured below). In the giant slalom it was George’s turn to take gold with Honor Bartlett winning bronze in the U14 ladies’ giant slalom.

For the U16s Sophie Foster won slalom silver with Elliott Bennett taking silver and Ted Slade bronze in the U16 boys’ slalom. The icing on the cake for the team was placing second in Andorra for the third year running.

The team will be back racing in Slovenia next week with the Alpecimbra Cup taking place in March and La Scara at the beginning of April.
