Claire learned to ski aged nine on the dry slope in Edinburgh and continued with lessons through school until joining the local race club aged 13. Claire trained with Midlothian school’s race training and with Lothian Ski racing. Starting to race on the dry slope scene aged 15, Claire won several national titles.

Claire decided to give ski cross a shot, having grown up racing motocross at national level, it was a logical choice! Claire first competed in Ski Cross at the Scottish Ski/boardercross championship 2015, at which she became  Scottish Champion. After deciding to drop out of University, Claire and her sister Zoe set on their first ski season in 2016/17. Qualifying for Europa Cup at the end of her first season, Claire realised her passion for ski cross and her desire to progress to Europa Cup the following season. Claire spends much of the season in her self-converted motorhome.
