International Children's Races

Alpine FIS Youth International Races

Each year GB Snowsport selects high performing young racers to represent Great Britain at the Alpine FIS Youth International Races. This is a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to gain experience at an international competition and compete against non-British racers of the same age group. We organise several race camps during the season which are residential and include training days pre competition, and the athletes will be accompanied by a carefully selected coaching team and team manager.

For this upcoming season, the U16s are selected from those born in 2004 and 2005, and the U14s athletes are selected from those born in 2006 and 2007. Further information on U16 and U14 race allocation selection criteria can be found here.

Selection Announcement October 2019

This season, following generous support from Goldwin, we are also taking athletes to Japan for the first time to compete in the Goldwin FIS Youth Cup.

GB Snowsport is committed to ensuring athletes of all ages who participate in any of our International Children's Race camps have a safe, rewarding and positive experience.

Our Child Safeguarding Policy must be complied with by all who work or volunteer within, or for our organisation with children and young people. This promotes good practice, helps raise awareness, and ensures people know what to do if they have any concerns about athletes or the behaviour of adults within or outside of GB Snowsport.

If you have concerns about the behaviour of someone towards yourself or another athlete, please report these concerns. Or if you have any concerns about your wellbeing, or another athlete’s wellbeing, please do contact our Safeguarding Lead straight away for support.

Further information can be found on our Safeguarding page.
