Leo started skiing at the age of 2 with his family in Valmorel during school holidays. By the age of 5 he had begun race training on dry slopes with his school, Abbeygate College, while continuing to attend family holidays. Even at a young age Leo’s love of snow and speed was clear, and this led to many schools competitions, on both dry ski slopes and snow, touring around the UK and Europe. When he was aged 13 Leo moved to Switzerland and continued with his race training and competitions, studying in an International school and further developing his love for sport and competition, which is now a major factor in his success as an all round athlete.

After a promising first year of FIS racing, Leo joined the Team Evolution programme in Austria, and is now a full time student-athlete, whilst continuing his studies on the elite athlete programme at Loughborough College. In the past season Leo has taken huge leaps in developing his fundamentals, alongside combining his natural athletic ability with an understanding of line, culminating in strong performances in the 2018 British National Championships including two National Titles. Ending the season with a hugely improved FIS World Ranking in his favoured discipline of GS, Leo is proud to have been selected to the British Ski Team in 2018, and will continue training on the Team Evolution programme for the coming seasons whilst targeting European cup points for the 2021 season.
