Siena put on her first pair of skis just before her third birthday in Vail, Colorado.  For many years thereafter she would enjoy trips there with her grandparents, and also to Chamonix, France with her parents. At the age of 6 she would plead with her father to take her powder skiing in Vail’s back bowls.

Whilst skiing in Chamonix aged 10 one Easter, she heard about BSA in Les Houches and went to have a trial day in gates – she loved it.  They advised her to try training indoors throughout the summer, where she joined Milton Keynes, and went on to win her first title, U12 GBR Indoor series. She then joined BSA and coupled that with December training in Vail with SSCV for two more seasons with her aim of getting into the British Children’s Team as an U14.

Siena then joined Ambition Race Academy in Leogang, Austria in 2014 for her first year as an U14, and two years later enjoyed a training camp with them to Coronet Peak, New Zealand. She has also really enjoyed her International Children’s races, made many new friends from other National teams, and especially enjoyed racing at Topolino/Alpe Cimbra as an U14 and U16 - competing there in the exciting Team Night Dual Slalom against Norway this year.

When not on the slopes, Siena’s other passion is hockey, and she is currently in the U16 England Team. She recently played for them in a 3 day series against Ulster and Captained the side. She plays Centre-Mid and believes her fitness and power that has proved to be a considerable attribute for her hockey, has been developed through her years of ski racing.

She is much looking forward to the challenge of her first year in FIS for the 2018/19 season.
